We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Biology and Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic team at Reddam House Durbanville from January 2026.
The successful candidate will demonstrate passion and expertise across both subjects, fostering a stimulating classroom environment where students are motivated to achieve academic excellence and personal growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Biology and Mathematics.
Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and ensure high standards of student conduct and work ethic.
Evaluate and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and targeted support where necessary.
Participate in school functions, meetings, and extracurricular activities as required.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and continually refine teaching strategies.
Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in initiatives, projects, and professional development.
Maintain effective communication with parents and respond to queries promptly and professionally.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A University degree in Biology, Mathematics, or a related field.
Certified Teaching Status and the right to work in South Africa.
At least three years of secondary teaching experience.
Experience with the IEB curriculum.
Proven ability to engage and motivate students across ability levels.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence in using ICT and digital learning tools.
