Media Manager at Vodacom

The Media Manager will work closely with media agencies, Brand Teams as well as other key stakeholders in business to develop and implement all targeted content for various media platforms and manage the necessary budget

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Responsible to manage a large media budget – in excess of +/- R500m
• To work closely with media agencies, Brand Teams as well as other key stakeholders in business
• Understand the customer and is passionately involved with customer.
• Utilise deep customer knowledge and insights to determine customer needs to that will lead to great brand ideas.
• Partners with Brand team in development of Brand strategy and ensures that they develop clear Brand Plans that are aligned to business
• Understands competitors and their media strategies and does analysis on these quarterly
• Collaborate with Consumer Marketing and Brand in ensuring that brand and segment needs are met and recommends best way to go about it

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• Relevant 3 year Degree or National Diploma in Marketing, Commercial, Media or related essential and
• A minimum of 8 – 10 years relevant experience in media management essential
• Understand media environment
• Understands the media channels and the different channel roles
• Understanding of Traditional as well as Digital media
• Understand both traditional and digital media
• Understands consumers from SA – from Lower LSM’s to Higher LSM’s
