Medical Physicist (x3 posts) at Free State Department of Health

Requirements:

• Matric, Honours degree in Medical Physics. Medical Physicist with the HPCSA. Current registration with the HPCSA.
• Experience in Nuclear Medicine Imaging.

Experience:

• Gr 1: None after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Physicist
• Gr 2: 8 years after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Physicist
• Gr 2: 16 years after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Physicist

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of multimodality imaging ( CT/PET/SPECT/MR).
• Knowledge of the SAHPRA statutory regulations regarding the medical use of ionizing radiation.
• Thorough understanding of the physics of nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology equipment, including computer software and radioisotopes.
• Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills, management skills. Teaching, training, research and development skills.
