Responsibilities and Duties

Direct Responsibilities

• Documents the technical solution before, during and after the delivery of the agreed scope to the Consultants and Customers
• Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
• Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
• Investigate, analyse and document reported defects.
• Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
• Provides technical assistance in supporting pre-sales, and sales where required
• Build and manage release pipelines for developed FinOps models
• Mentor and coach the development team in the use of DevOps
• Environment Management
• Management of integration tasks

Team Management

• Mange the development team in both core and custom development projects delivered to customers
• Establishes a clear vision for the department ensuring alignment of all teams towards development objectives
• Advises on team structure and staffing requirements based on the objectives to be achieved by the team
• Enforces strict coding standards of team members as prescribed by the vendor development coding standards
• Advises on best practices within the technical and development domain
• Ensures development code is backed up and team members are adhering to policies
• Sets clear project goals and milestones (short-, mid and long term) to ensure effective team alignment
• Takes responsibility to ensure that the team works as efficiently as possible by managing and monitoring team and individual performance
• Provides leadership and guidance to coach, motivate and lead team members to their optimum performance levels

Project Planning

• Establishes and defines the execution plan, with set priorities and goals for the project, taking into account all stakeholder inputs and the intended strategic direction of the project
• Determines project schedules and delivery dates with the Technical Lead of each team
• Manages and monitors time frames based on project schedules continuously to ensure the successful delivery of the product to the market 

Project Execution and Monitoring

• Effectively implements the agile and scrum methodology mind-set to manage projects
• Manages projects by providing direction, delegating tasks and monitoring outcomes of product delivery
• Implements structures to effectively manage product execution from the analysis of requirements, design, development, quality assurance and the delivery of the final product
• Provides feedback to stakeholders on project progress and execution
• Manage code release through branching strategies that align with the environment management plan.

Experience and Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Strong 6+ years of D365 F&O technical design and development experience – X++, SSRS and BI Reports development (advantage would be experience in AX 2012)
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
• Managed a minimum of 3-4 Microsoft full life cycle AX2012, Dynamics 365 CE or F&O implementations projects
• Producing design and project documentation
• Managing projects and/or teams in the delivery of Microsoft Dynamics oriented projects
• Azure knowledge and experience working with and managing cloud environments
• Knowledge of SQL & OData
• Extensive experience in finance and accounting (ERP)
• Skills and knowledge in DevOps (Project, Branches, Pipelines, Releases)
• Knowledge and experience in LCS (Update, upgrade, refresh DB, Project onboarding)

Experience in:

•  upgrading from AX2012 to latest releases of Dynamics 365
•  complex data migration
•  complex integration development
•  performance optimization
