Mid-weight Designer at Pargo

Introduction

What we are looking for in a mid-weight graphic designer:

• You are an inspired and creative graphic designer passionate about designing artwork using Adobe Creative Suite tools.
• You know how to translate a value proposition into visuals while never losing sight of the brand guidelines.
• You are able to translate a creative brief into beautiful designs and clarify questions patently with line managers and team members.
• You are no stranger to social media and have experience with video and photography.
• Software like WordPress and Mailchimp don’t scare you.
• You have some animation skills

At Pargo you will work in a small creative team consisting of an experienced head of marketing, a UX Designer, a copywriter and usually one or two international interns. Flat hierarchies are characteristic for a start up company like Pargo. Hence there is huge room for the swift implementation of creative ideas. Startup life also means you will take ownership and get your hands dirty.

We are tackling some exciting projects in the near future.

Responsibilities

• The design of artwork for online and offline use
• Streamlining the Pargo brand and all related artwork
• Creative concept and design of co-marketing campaigns
• Presentations for our business development team
• Assistance with social media marketing
• Update HTML mailer templates (Mailchimp)
• Ensure artwork is correct and supplied in the right format/sizes/colour codes before being sent to partners, press and production facilities.
• Create animation videos for training and marketing
• Police the Pargo brand on Pargo and partner channels
• Take professional pictures and videos for use on social media

Requirements

• 5 years+ experience in a graphic design role
• A National Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design or any related creative field
• Strong background in branding
• Fluent in industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc)
• A solid foundation of design theory: Composition, colour, layout, typography
• Firm grip on all things branding and ability to bring ‘the brand’ to life across multiple touch points and to enforce cross channel brand consistency
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• The ability to think creatively and develop original design concepts, graphics and layouts
• The ability to understand and follow creative briefs and bring a concept to life while meeting deadlines
• Ability to interact professionally, communicate and present ideas
• Strong affinity to social media marketing tools
• Keen interest in digital marketing
• A positive, calm and kind disposition
