THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

The Fitter needs to ensure that all Albany Pretoria equipment is maintained in order to have minimum breakdowns and that the plant availability is in accordance to set standards. Additionally, to maintain plant and machinery to world class standards while providing support to the Maintenance Manager in project and development work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Machining
• Welding / cutting / development and similar competencies 
• Maintenance
• Installation of machinery
• Light construction work
• Control own allocated work area

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Prior Learning       

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Qualified Fitter (Must have Trade certificate)
• At least 5 years experience in a production environment
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and public holidays
• Knowledge of bakery machinery
• Knowledge of pneumatic & hydraulic systems will be an advantage
• Must be able to do maintenance using a computerised maintenance system
• Must be able to be do standby duties
• Must be familiar with installation and construction work
