Responsibilities

Job Overview:

• The successful candidate must ensure minimal downtime and smooth operation of the factory by performing strict preventative maintenance on allocated equipment. Ensure that the factory equipment is set up correctly. Be hands-on and make certain that autonomous maintenance issues are resolved timeously. Must be able to identify and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Analyse, respond and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise production loss.
• Follow protocols and interpret technical drawings for efficient work.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance in both mechanical, electrical and control (PLC) areas.
• Safe work practices.
• Quality, ensuring good quality products is produced.
• Personal Ownership for Production Efficiencies.
• Executed pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical repairs.
• Installed and commissioned machinery and equipment.

Qualifications

• Matric or N3 Qualification.
• Must be qualified as a Trade Tested Millwright.
• 5 years’ relevant experience within the manufacturing environment in the FMCG industry.
• Bakeries experience an advantage.
• Must have PLC experience.
