    Multi-Skilled Assembler

    About the job

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist, read, interpret, and execute instructions to create a quality product.
    • Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, or sub-assemblies, using pneumatic and hand tools.
    • Assemble electronic equipment, connect cables and wiring and upload firmware.
    • Monitor product through the production cycle and perform sampling inspections to validate quality standards.
    • Remove, separate, document and report defective materials/products.
    • Label, package and/or pallet finished products for storage or shipment as required.
    • Perform Operator preventative maintenance on materials and equipment to ensure non-stop production. Report defective equipment to appropriate leader.
    • Monitor material levels. Resupply stations and initiate resupply notification in a timely manner to avoid work-stoppage.
    • Operate industrial equipment.
    • Rework and repair units rejected by inspection or test personnel to ensure that units were operational for production.
    • Perform quality inspection checks on built and repaired units throughout the manufacturing process.
    • Maintain production records, logs and other reports on equipment and assembled items.
    • Used basic electronic assembly tools, instruments and equipment in production and assembly.
    • Read and interpret technical datasheets and engineering documents.
    • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.

    Qualifications

    • N6 / Electrical Engineering Diploma
    • Electrical Trade Certificate
    • Minimum 5+ years working in the electrical device manufacturing / OEM industry
    • Experience working in manufacturing environment utilizing MPIs and LHRs for critical builds
    • Positive demeanor with a strong work ethic and desire to be a big part of a growing organization.
    • Excellent Mechanical / Electrical capability or capacity to learn.
    • Educator - good verbal and written presentation, organized, good planner, good interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to do repetitive work and be able to stand for extended periods of time.
