Network Software Engineer - Stellenbosch at HeroTel

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Implement and maintain all network-related automation systems.
• Work on either front-end UI/UX or back-end integration, depending on experience.
• Extend and maintain the API integrations between various network systems.
• Develop and deploy software solutions to provide network functional support.
• Work closely with the internal Technology and Business Systems development team to ensure network requirements are delivered according to specification.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and advancements in network automation systems.

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills: -

Work Experience and Competencies:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in either front end UI/UX or Back end development and integration.
• Advanced experience on the Linux operating system and server environments
• Skilled in Database design and implementation for high availability environments.
• Deep understanding of Networking and network design principles.
• Experience in any or a combination of the following is a requirement:
• Vue, Nuxt, NodeJS
• MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Python
• PHP
• Bash / Shell scripting
• Regex
• ExpressJS

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Professional certifications such as follows are highly desirable:
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Docker Certified Associate (DCA)
