    Networking Pre-Sales Engineer

    JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

    • The Pre-sales Engineer role involves working with specified technologies to design and build accurate solutions, assisting clients with technical questions, staying current with industry developments, maintaining relevant certifications, identifying client needs, providing solutions, consulting on new products and features, and assisting with technical tasks as needed.

    THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

    In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:

    Minimum Experience:

    • Must have 10 years of experience in Networking products and/or solutions.
    • Relevant and current Networking certifications are required, whether OEM-specific or brand-agnostic.
    • Ability to articulate Networking technology and marketing trends.
    • Ability to analyse current implementations, consult on and build new Networking solutions.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Understanding of sales cycle, customer motives and buying criteria.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and process and solution-oriented abilities.
    • Ability to partner across various functional groups including account executives, professional services, product development, marketing and strategic partners.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in teams.
    • Willingness to take responsibility and drive engagements.
    • Customer and sales focus with the ability to influence prospects.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Vendor engagement: The engineer will interact with vendors to understand their products and processes and ensure the correct point of contact is established.
    • Partner engagement: The engineer will engage with partners to provide technical support and develop sales opportunities.
    • Technical sales engagement: The engineer will engage with customers to provide technical support, analyze current implementations, and build new networking solutions.
    • Certification requirement: The engineer will need to have relevant and current networking certifications.
    • Task accuracy: The engineer will need to perform technical tasks accurately within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
    • Communication: The engineer will need to communicate effectively with stakeholders and shareholders.
