    New Business Development Executive - JHB

    What the day will look like

    • Works with Client Managers/ Account Executives to ensure high quality, efficient and compliant delivery of all client servicing administrative/transactional activities
    • Establishes future clients’ needs and business drivers
    • Prepares for future client contact by carrying out client research to understand their business and the environment and sector in which they operate
    • Builds trust relationships with potential future clients.
    • Maintains close working relationships with the client management and bid management teams and introduces them into the relationship with clients and potential future clients at the appropriate time
    • Maintains a high level of technical knowledge in order to be able to articulate solutions to clients
    • Creates and maintains a continuous and viable pipeline of business

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    Qualifications.

    • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
    • A relevant Bachelor’s degree is preferable
    • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act
    • Must be registered as a licentiate with the IISA

    Knowledge.

    • A comprehensive knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets.
    • An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.
    • Excellent knowledge of policy wordings.
    • Computer literacy with advanced know-how in MS Word and Excel.

    Skills and Attributes.

    • Possesses advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities
    • Ability to confidently articulate Aon’s value proposition and how it differentiates Aon and benefits future clients.
    • Well-developed negotiating and persuading skills.

    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Ability to work effectively in and with teams.

    Experience.

    • Have a minimum of 7 - 10 years’ experience in a similar or related role
