Newly Qualified CA(SA) - Financial Analyst (Cape Town) at Intelligent Debt Management

Job Description:

• This role has been created in order to manage the financial aspects of three growing companies within the IDM group and will be working directly with the relevant stakeholders of these entities.

Requirements:

• CA (SA) Essential
• Financial Services audit experience is advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities:

• As Financial Analyst, you will have responsibility for financial planning, financial record-keeping, financial reporting and the management of financial risk. Within this, you will need to:
• Ensure that the companies’ Board, Management and internal users are provided with accurate and relevant financial information and insights, financial advice and financial models.
• Assist in developing profit enhancement initiatives, motivating these initiatives to more strategic levels for approval and implementing these initiatives
• Ensure that the companies’ expenditure is only committed to after applying best practice procurement principles
• Assist in negotiating commercial arrangements with partners and suppliers and concluding legal contracts to reflect these arrangements.
• Ensure that appropriate financial and operational controls are implemented in the companies to minimize potential fraud and financial loss.
• You will report directly to IDM’s Group Head of Finance but will have indirect reporting lines to IDM’s Commercial Head of Business Development, as well as the Business Heads of the three entities.
