    IT Stock Controller - Cape Town

    IT Stock Controller - Cape own CBD 

    • The IDM Group is looking for an IT stock controller whose primary responsibility for this position is to manage the IT assets for the company. The successful individual will be part of the IDM IT team to ensure the stock room is managed effectively and all hardware is registered and accounted for and stock levels are reported to the manager. Attention to detail and customer service is key for this role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Reconcile laptops; monitors; headsets and other IT equipment delivered against what was invoiced
    • Record all hardware in the asset register
    • Manage the stock room and ensure all items are accounted for in a weekly stock take and provide details to the manager
    • Ensure all items leaving the stock room are logged and signed for by authorized IT technicians
    • Ensure all items being returned to the stock room are logged and signed for
    • Reconcile monthly MS Office and EMS licenses to ensure all off boarders are removed
    • Perform ad hoc tasks as requested by management

    Skills and experience required:

    • Minimum 1 year work experience preferably in a technical administrative position
    • Curious mindset with willingness to learn more and grow in the department and business
    • Basic experience in MS Excel and Outlook

    IT Technician - Cape Town

    As an IT Technician Tier 1, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing our company's IT systems.     Legal Claims Consultant - Cape Town

    IDM Protect is currently seeking a Legal Claims Consultant to join their newly established short-term personal lines legal expenses insurance team. Working at IDM Protect means working at an accessible, people-orientated and involved legal expenses insurance service provider. We are therefore looking for a candidate with more than just legal knowledge and experience. The successful candidate must be highly efficient, energetic, motivated, ambitious, customer-focused, committed, and analytical.

    Good communication skills are very important for this role, and the ability to make legal matters understandable – both in writing and verbally – to IDM Protect’s legal expenses insurance customers is vital. Working in the short-term personal lines legal expenses insurance team will require customer focus, empathy, being able to effectively organise your time and claims portfolio and also to make decisions and to set priorities.

    As a Legal Claims Consultant, you will be expected to give customers telephonic legal advice when needed and also to handle legal matters (claims) – ranging from civil, criminal to labour-related legal disputes – from start to finish. You will also be working very closely with IDM Protect’s panel of external attorney firms and services providers where legal matters (claims) are referred for litigation when required.

    Together with your colleagues, you are always ready to assist IDM Protect’s customers by giving professional legal advice, guidance and assistance, to resolve their legal issues and to make the law accessible to everyone.

    As with every position, this role also requires quite a high level of administrative skill. The role will act as the link between IDM Protect and our customers at the claims stage. This position will include registering new claims, collating all claim documents, ensuring a great customer experience and providing claim outcomes. The legal claims consultant will form part of the claims team who assists our customers during a critical phase in their client journey.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure seamless claims notification of loss and hand over only where necessary to our external panel of lawyers
    • Ensure timely claims and document feedback per interval to our customers
    • Claims processing and administration and/or validation
    • Record maintenance and filing of all claims documents (system-related) 
    • Claims decision-making, based on policy and product terms and conditions
    • Rendering professional legal services (legal advice and /or legal assistance) to customers in terms of the policy and product terms and conditions
    • Preparing instruction files for external panel of lawyers when litigation is required
    • Communicate final outcome of claim to client
    • Adhere to set standards pertaining to claims turnaround times to ensure excellent client communication throughout the end-to-end claims process

    Key Requirements:

    • LLB Degree
    • FAIS representative advantageous
    • Experience in Insurance administration is desirable
    • Understanding of Insurance streams: personal lines legal experience (advantageous)
    • Experience in personal lines legal claims (advantageous)

    • Assist in negotiating commercial arrangements with partners and suppliers and concluding legal contracts to reflect these arrangements.
    • Ensure that appropriate financial and operational controls are implemented in the companies to minimize potential fraud and financial loss.
    • You will report directly to IDM’s Group Head of Finance but will have indirect reporting lines to IDM’s Commercial Head of Business Development, as well as the Business Heads of the three entities.
