National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or N6 Diploma
Minimum of two (2) years’ related experience (power system distribution)
Knowledge of operating regulations for high voltage certificate.
Key Performance Areas
Facilitate liaison of the control centre with enterprise asset management, engineering, infrastructure operations personnel and external electricity suppliers/ contractors/ consumers on planned network expansions and equipment maintenance requirements
Assess impact of planned power system work on network security and continuity of supply such as conduct load flow studies/simulations/analyses utilising available specialised software and resources to minimise/mitigate impact on loading of remaining equipment
Compile power system switching procedures/ programmes for planned power system work detailing operational and safety requirements including applying acquired knowledge of SCADA Systems, network operations and safety considerations
Write reports to record research and information collection, share information, formulate conclusions and strategies and make recommendations.
