NSA Senior Commodity Buyer at Nissan Motor Corporation

PURPOSE / DETAILS OF THE JOB

Procurement of all related support and service functions and materials, whilst always creating a reliable economic source and cost savings. This role requires integration of multiple stake holder needs, thus making it critical that negotiation skills and ability to work cross-functionally forms part of the skill set of the incumbent.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Min: Diploma (Purchasing/Supply chain management/Logistics management)                                        
• Ideal: Degree: Contractual/Cost/Project Management
• 2+ years manufacturing production/process experience; Costing experience
• 2-3 Years Project management Experience
• 3- 5 Years Automotive industry related to purchasing

Purchase order creation

• Creation of purchase orders from purchase requisitions, following RFI/RFQ/RFP processes

Sourcing Activities

• Sourcing meetings between NSA internal customers

Pricing comparison, analysis, and evaluation

• Conducting purchase research

Approving and awarding tender applications

• Follow sourcing procedure

Supplier Management

• Supplier research; evaluation; performance management, BBBEE Management
