Office Attendant at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    

• To provide a service to the office staff,and to assist the Customer Service Officers when inspecting and testing installations.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Undertakes photostating of documents for the division.
• Collects and delivers post from and to destinations indicated on the post.
• Undertakes routine filing and retrieval of applications, filing cabinets.
• Assists the Customer Service Officers when inspecting and testing installations, by carrying equipment.
• Makes and serves tea to the supervising staff and visitors when required.
• Cleans and tidies the Customer Service office as required.
• Maintains duplicate receipt books for mail by ensuring signatures are obtained on receipt of documents.
• Assists the Administrative Assistant in stock control.

Essential Requirements    

• An appropriate level of primary education.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code B).
• 1 Month relevant experience.
• Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements    

• An appropriate level of secondary education.
• 3 Months relevant experience.
