A Degree or National Diploma in Law Coupled with 3-4 years’ experience in legislative and contract drafting. Formal qualification or training in legislative and contract drafting
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and applicable knowledge and experience on the Job may be considered during the selection process.
Key Performance Areas:
Under the supervision of the Senior Legal Officer, the Legal Officer will be responsible for drafting, vetting and reviewing of regulations and legislation, compiling Socio-Economic Impact Assessment system reports, keeping abreast of all legislative changes in the country that may have an impact on the operations of PSiRA, providing advice on a wide range of legal issues relating to the functions, structures and activities of the PSiRA

Conduct regular reviews on the impact of legislation to the private security environment Support the Senior Legal Officer to develop, implement and interpret internal legislation
Provide legal support by preparation, negotiating and finalising of contracts with vendors and service providers and other legal instruments of cooperation between the PSiRA, bilateral and multilateral development partners Verifying legal documentation for authenticity and accuracy
