As an OpenText and Appworks Technical Application Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring the seamless availability, configuration, and performance of OpenText xECM and Appworks systems.
This dynamic position requires a strong technical aptitude, as you'll be driving system upgrades, managing capacity, and optimizing long-term performance to support the organization's business goals. You will also lead the installation of new features and enhancements, providing crucial technical guidance and resolution for high-complexity issues across the organization's applications. Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelors degree (NQF 7) in Computer Science or Information Management or similar
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a business analysis environment, specifically in OpenText applications
Experience in developing and maintaining software
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support, with specific focus on testing, business analysis, configuration and system setup
Consult with business owners and stakeholders in respect of problem definition and the identification of business requirements or needs
Review business processes and procedures, analyse business needs and associated data, identify and assess possible solutions and define the associated business requirements
Elaborate on the scope and feasibility of solutions and develop the supporting business case
Manage change requirements and supporting specifications, provide the functional specification and manage acceptance testing
Investigate problems and propose solutions by interacting with users, developers and other stakeholders
Configure the application as per approved business requirements and align with best practice
Identify and register risks
Provide input into the development of SupTech training manuals and training plans and present training courses in support of new implementation
