Operaor Plumber: Sewer Long - Grade, REF: OPEPLUSEW -JW381EX/2023 at Johannesburg Water

PURPOSE

• Supervise a team of workers in the construction of works, daily clear and repair main blocked sewer lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Construct, operate and maintain the sewer reticulation systems in accordance with productivity norms, service standard and sewer reticulations. Unblock the manholes.
• Raise the manholes.
• Repair the channels. Install new sewer connections.
• Preventative / Systematic clearing of the sewer lines. Clean site and disinfect.
• Backfilling Ensure all work is carried out within statutory safety conditions as laid down in the legislation.
• Communicate with external customers on daily basis.
• Maintain good relations with customers.
• Daily interaction with workers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential qualifications and experience:

•  Grade 9 or ABET Level 4 (literacy and numeracy) (NQF1)
•  2 years’ experience in operations and maintenance of sewer reticulation.
•  Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PrDP
