    Operations Director

    MSX South Africa is currently looking for an Operations Director who will be responsible for ensuring that the business has the best working environment and processes to meet and exceed the Company growth targets and the customer and employees satisfaction requirements. The role is a bridge between the reporting region and the operating market and is a key role for the success of the Company.

     

     Responsibilities

    • Definition and implementation of the operating market strategy according to the global and regional strategies.
    • Responsibility for Profit & Loss and financial forecasting.
    • Leadership of the local team to proactively identify business opportunities with current and new customers.
    • Provide feedback on product development opportunities.
    • Definition of manager’s individual targets in line with overall targets.
    • Ensure project delivery at the highest quality standards and maximizing business opportunities.
    • Ensuring customer and employee satisfaction targets are met.
    • Managing the local branding, marketing and communication plan and budget.
    • Lead and drive quality processes in all projects and activities within the market. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor/Masters degree
    • Automotive management level – good understanding of dealer processes and/or Management of Consultancy/training organization with strong automotive focus.
    • Strong experience in managing Profit & Loss and medium size teams (200 people).
    • 7‑10 years’ extensive experience on the local automotive market, focusing on the distribution side of the value chain.
    • Experience in an international organization, on sales and operations.
    • Depending on current local market service portfolio, experience in managing similar projects/activities is preferred.

    Competencies/Others skills:

    • Comfortable with a fast pace of change, while ensuring continuity of current activities.
    • A flexible and yet structured and logical approach; able to handle multiple tasks, think and plan ahead and build in contingencies.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to understand complex information and assess requirements.
    • Ability to work independently with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
    • Ability to work on objectives.
    • Excellent communicator and people motivation skills.
    • High-level of professional English language skill required (written and spoken).
    • Able to travel within local markets and overseas.
