    Operations Lead

    Role Outline

    To plan, co-ordinate, manage and report upon the work activities of the team providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training and development. To direct, co-ordinate and plan the operation through effective scheduling of employees, planning of all functions, manage and control of employees and supervisors. To optimize all resources to ensure that the operation is managed effectively and that customer service standards are achieved and maintained. Ensure that all contractual KPI targets are achieved and maintained in accordance with the Service Level Agreement. To work in conjunction with the Managers to monitor, develop and allocate work to a group of subordinates in specific areas.

    • Delivery of Key Performance Indicators                                                                              
    • Compliance with statutory and Company Policies and Procedures                               
    • HR Issues - Managing Industrial Relations,                                                                                                       
    • Change Management                                                                                                                             
    • Quality Control                                                                                                                                        
    • Budget Management                                                                                                                             
    • Compliance to Standard Operating Procedures                                                                                              
    • Active participation in stock counts i.e. Planning, Preparation and Physical counting of stock
    • Team Building and Morale Management                                                                            
    • Delivery of safe, secure, clean and fair work environment from Team Members                                     
    • Maximize accuracy, productivity and space utilization                                                                    
    • Translate, analyze and deliver customer needs through effective operations                            
    • Ensure daily and weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished              
    • Effective Leadership and Management of the operational and administrative teams              
    • Maintain appropriate information / reporting systems to monitor the depot performance on an ongoing basis   

    Qualifications

    • Matric

    • Good understanding of distribution                                                                                                                   
    • IT Literate          
    • People Management                                                                                                               
    • Excellent HR and IR skills                                                                                                                      
    • Knowledge of client’s requirements and customer needs                                                              
    • Budget Management                                                                                                              
    • Key Performance Indicator development                                                                           
    • Work Load Planning                                                                                                                
    • Knowledge and experience of the SAP WM system                                                                         
    • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point)                                                                                                 
    • 4 - 5 years in warehousing / logistics / FMCG environment

    • Able to collaborate with Site Mgr.
    • Capable of adapting physical observations on the shop floor in quick solution by cooperation Site MGR
    • Basic knowledge of technical laws and warehouse systems
