This position is responsible to support and assist the Operational Risk Manager in the execution of governance and oversight and implementation of the Operational Risk Framework across the Bank.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include all administrative OR functions, including collating, tracking, maintaining records, reviews and testing.
Responsible for specific operational risk activities such as risk event reporting, change risk assessments, issue management and tracking.
Assist organisational units to implement and maintain operational risk management tools to help identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate operational risk. Conduct training in need.
Conduct reviews to identify possible operational risks and provide recommendations to address the control weaknesses; monitor the implementation and progress of the enhanced controls.
Work closely with business functions to effectively manage operational risk in accordance with legal, regulatory directives and internal requirements of the Group and Country.
Liaise with the Group Operational Risk team in supporting and driving any other initiatives or actions that may be required to build and embed the OR framework across the Bank.
Requirements:
Education: Applicants are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Degree in Risk Management is preferred.
A qualification in risk or experience related to risk and control would be an advantage.
Knowledge of banking operations would be an advantage.
Control conscious and good work ethic.
Logical thinking and good analytical skill required.
A good team player with the ability to learn quickly.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to work under pressure, within tight deadlines and multi-disciplinary.
Effective communication skills and report writing skills.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
