    Partner Account Manager

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Partner Account Manager to join us in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you will develop and maintain relationships with strategic channel partners across South Africa while promoting Red Hat's solutions and services to customers through partners. You’ll be responsible for selling our entire suite of offerings. As a Partner Account Manager, you will identify, nurture, and close opportunities with partners, manage sales forecasts on a quarterly basis, and track commercial space customer data.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Educate the partners on new Red Hat's offerings and solutions and communicate to them the value of our offerings in comparison to competing market offerings
    • Sell Red Hat's solutions in the field through and with our partners
    • Promote and recruit new potential Red Hat’s partners
    • Build agreed-upon business plans with the partners and ensure implementation of business plans based on defined metrics
    • Support partners to find, build, manage, and close their business opportunities
    • Build and guide relationships with management levels of partners
    • Own and meet a revenue quota; perform regular forecasting and overview about your assigned partners' opportunities
       

    Required Skills

    • 3+ years of sales experience, ideally working in distribution, or with partners or system integrators (SIs)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good presentation skills
    • Good negotiation skills with the ability to guide and close sales opportunities; experience with solutions selling methodologies
    • Ability to work with senior management and partner sales teams
    • Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility, ability to work without direct supervision, and initiative
    • Experience building long-term relationships
    • Willingness to travel to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) events and training occasionally; additional planned travel to Sub-Saharan Africa may be required
