    Partnership Manager

    Purpose

    Reporting to the GM: Sales and Distributions, the Partnership Manager will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with business partners as well as developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue for RML through the Class XIII contracted brokers. The incumbent will be responsible for driving sales growth for Rand Mutual Life products and services through building and maintain relationships, executing marketing campaigns and activities and facilitating training in order to increase sales and expand our service offerings in the broker market and maintaining a pipeline of eligible class XIII contracted brokers.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • NQF Level 7: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or CFP (advantageous)
    • NQF5 120 FAIS credits
    • RE5 and RE1
    • 7 years Financial Services Industry Knowledge
    • 5 years long term insurance experience
    • 5 years Broker and/or Advisor contracts experience
    • 3 years management skills to manage staff
    • 5 years broker consulting experience within the group risk or individual life
    • Must have a proven sales track record

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    Effective Sales and Target Management

    • Set and drive sales and manpower targets for both the individual and class XIII contracted brokers
    • Ensure that sales targets are tracked both at the individual and team level
    • Develop and implement sales and go-to-market activities within the broker channel in partnership with sales account executives and sales leadership
    • Assess channel footprint to ensure optimal sales coverage and target achievement
    • Drive team meetings to review the status of accounts and align performance targets across the organization

    Effective Class XIII Broker management

    • Lead and assume full management responsibility for a team of contracted brokers
    • Ensure that ongoing coaching is provided to brokers and that quality of submitted business is checked continuously
    • Continuously manage team performance and ensure that the productivity of the contracted brokers is monitored on an ongoing basis
    • Conduct regular performance reviews of the contracted brokers
    • Build and foster critical relationships with the contracted broker channel contacts

    General Administration and Management

    • Draft and submit professional management reports
    • Ensure continuous discussion on knowledge upskilling and new sales ideas with the contracted brokers
    • Ensure consistent professional conduct

    • Knowledge of business policies, processes and procedures, legal compliance
    • Financial Services Industry Knowledge
    • Specialized knowledge within different channels

    • Must have sound knowledge of group risk benefits
