Payroll Administrator (fluent in Portuguese) at The South African Breweries (SAB)

Key Purpose Statement

The Job purpose of a Payroll Administrator is:

• To ensure each country’s payroll information is processed through the correct channels and input is treated with high confidentiality.
• To service employees and help them with queries and ensuring that it is resolved.
• To maintain a high level of accuracy ensuring that all input is processed correctly in line with company policy and compliance with legislation within the governance framework.
• To ensure that all employees are paid on time and accurately.

Competence Requirements

Education

• University degree in Accounting and Finance, Human Resources or a related degree with 1 –3 years payroll experience.
• Fluent in Portuguese (Essential)
• Proficiency in Payroll Systems
• Knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
• Demonstrating an understanding of payroll and related legislation an advantage
• MS office skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Desirable but not essential

• Able to run reports of the payroll system

• Experience on Payspace system is an advantage

Output and Accountabilities

• Ensure deadlines are met
• Ensure timeous outputs
• Ensure accuracy of the payroll
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work closely with each countr
• Receiving and managing all input from the business
• Validating correctness of input received
• Ensure queries are resolved within SLA
