Payroll Specialist - Rewards at adidas Group

Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organisation

• Manage and administer the full payroll function of adidas South Africa

Key Responsibillities

• Processing of Monthly Permanent & Flexi Payroll including payroll related reports
• Collating and reconciling data relating to all staff, including data from the time and attendance system to ensure a smooth payroll run
• Working collaboratively with the HR team to ensure all payroll data and input is delivered accurately and on time
• Adding new staff members to the payroll and terminating staff leaving the employ of adidas SA
• Checking of all payroll variances before uploading to the Bank
• Preparring the payroll file for electronic upload to the Banks
• Printing the required reports off the payroll package
• Producing reports for month end reporting to Head Quarters
• Filing of monthly salary reports, copy payslips and payroll audit trails
• Assisting staff memebers with payroll related queries
• Producing and updating annual leave schedules
• Liasing with Group Risk, Medical Aid administrators and brokers regarding memebership movements and queries on funds
• Managing all third - party reconciliations and payments
• Main point of contact for all third - party queries and payments
• Maintaining SAP HR according to Global standards to ensure complete accuracy of employee and organisation management data

• Advanced SAP Knowledge is a non negotiable

Required Education And Experiance/ Minimum Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• 5+ years of overall work experiance in Payroll, preferably within international companies with matrix structures in a multinaional wholesale / retail environment
• Advanced SAP payroll experiance
• Accounting knowledge is beneficial
• Ability to work analytically
• Understand and manage risk with the right sensitivity and urgency
• Utmost confidentiality and integrity with a high degree of maturity and professionalism
• Good administration and organisation skills
• Ability to monitor outstanding items and ensure closure
• Good communciation skills and ability to interact with all levels within the organisation
• Ability to take initiative
• Ability to work proactively on their own and displays a sense of urgency
• Strong computer literacy skills - Advanced Excel
• Ability to work in a high pressure and often changing/ demanding environment
• Respond appropriately and timeously to internal and external customers
