This opportunity resides in the People Data & Analytics team which is a forward looking function that brings together data, analytics and Human Capital to enable a superior employee experience. The successful candidate will join a team of highly skilled and motivated data analysts, interpreters and translators.

The role analyses people data using various statistical or analytical techniques, builds statistical models, develops data dashboards, reports and tracks metrics. The role engages with key stakeholders to understand their strategic challenges and translates these into analytics questions. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results over periods of up to 3 months.

Key Result Areas

• Gathers people data from Workday and multiple other sources including a people data warehouse.
• Performs advanced statistical analysis on people data. Interprets results and translates them into actionable business insights.
• Builds data visualisations based on large sets of people data that answer key business questions
• Writes reports on the outcomes of people data analyses, identifying actionable insights to assist in solving the problem being analysed.
• Has a broad understanding of predictive modelling, machine learning and data science techniques.
• Collaborates effectively with others to achieve results.
• Responsible for building strong working relationships with internal clients, and translating their strategic challenges into analytic questions using evidence-based practice to interpret insights derived from analytics, to drive business change.
• Translate all People metrics, including attrition, hiring, span of control, workforce modeling and translating them into actionable outcomes (ie. org design, attrition hotspots to lookout for, diversity outcomes).
• Identify any data discrepancies and oversee data hygiene for people analytics to ensure accuracy and clean data.
• The ability to come up with solutions to defined business problems by leveraging pattern detection over potentially large datasets.
• Works with little supervision and to very high levels of accuracy.
• Accountable for delivery

Role Requirements

• Actuarial, statistical, computer science, engineering, behavioural science or analytics related degree.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics and working cross-functionally, using data insights to explain behaviors and predict outcomes
• 5+ years of experience working with statistical methods (i.e., segmentation models, regression analysis, trend analysis, etc)
• Predictive Analytics
• Knowledge of Excel, R and Python is required.
• Knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage.
