    People Management and Learning & Development Intern (Tygervalley)

    Minimum Qualifications / Requirements / Attributes:

    • SA Citizen
    • Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology/ Human Resource Management (Essential)
    • Driver’s license (Essential)
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • The candidate must be medically fit in terms the Mine Health and Safety Act
    • Clear criminal record essential
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
    • Analysing and interpretation of information
    • Good time management and organizational skills
    • Willingness to take initiative and to understand the business and add value where needed
    • Demonstrate ethical behaviour and professionalism
    • Strong organisational and administration skills
    • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
    • Ability to work with confidential information
    • Analytical and action orientated

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

    • Afrimat is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic People Management (PM) & Learning and Development (L&D) Intern to join our dynamic team.
    • This role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in human resources, employee engagement, and learning initiatives within a leading organisation.
    • Providing project management support
    • Assisting with day-to-day PM operations.
    • Supporting end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
    • Coordinating training sessions, workshops, and learning programmes.
    • Assisting with Annual Training Reports (ATR) and Workplace Skills Plans (WSP).
    • Compiling and analysing PM data and reports.
    • Supporting employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
    • Contributing to research and innovation of PM processes and procedures.
    • Providing general support to the Learning & Development function
