Personal Investment Data Analyst at Coronation Fund Managers

Job Description

As a Personal Investments Data Analyst, you will gain broad exposure to several key areas of the business. You will be one of a team of Analysts responsible for supporting the Personal Investments team. You will be required to apply your data analytical skills in producing market research reports and analysis of fund and client data. You will run projects of varying degrees of complexity, work within teams as you develop both your organizational skills and your understanding of the investments industry.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the asset management industry.
Duties and Responsibilities    

•  Provide support to the head of personal investments and the strategy execution manager.
•  Cleaning, transforming and modelling data from various sources
•  Extracting insights from data that support decision making
•  Develop an understanding and keep abreast of industry and competitor trends.
•  Conduct varied analysis of the competitor landscape; including competing funds, pricing models, performance and tactical changes by competitors.
•  Assist in the design of reports, co-ordinate and qualify the accuracy and disseminate to internal stakeholders.
•  Co-ordinating, updating and proofing monthly, quarterly and annual collateral outputs for Personal Investments.
•  Engage in strategic project support activities such as scoping, recording and tracking project tasks and end user testing.
•  Support with escalations and investigations in client and account manager queries.

Ideal Experience    

•  Understanding of the financial services industry
•  Data Science experience and/or qualifications
•  Analytical/quantitative/IS background

Ideal Qualifications    

•  Systems or Commerce or related qualification
•  Numerical subjects

Systems Knowledge    

•  MSOffice – Advanced Excel
•  Advanced experience with BI tools (PowerBI/Spotfire, or something similar)
•  PowerPoint experience an advantage
