Intercare Corporate Services situated in Menlyn, Pretoria, seeks to recruit a PHC Registered Nurse for its Online Health Services who is patient-focused, and value driven.

The purpose of the position is to consult online with patients, under the guidance of qualified medical professionals, to support the delivery of high-quality online medical care in Intercare’s online health services. 

CRITICAL OUTPUTS

• Conduct online patient assessments, including gathering medical histories and other relevant information.
• Work under the supervision of medical doctors to evaluate and consult with patients online within scope of practice.
• Provide patient education on health conditions, treatment options, self-care practices, medication use, lifestyle changes, and preventive healthcare measures within scope of practice.
• Accurately document online patient interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and confidentiality regulations.
• Maintain professionalism, courtesy and confidentiality when interacting with patients and fellow healthcare professionals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Nursing (BNurs).
• Active SANC registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Strong knowledge of diagnosis and management of common primary care needs such as respiratory, urinary, gastrointestinal and eye infections, skin conditions, contraception, child health and antenatal education and advice.  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency and familiarity with the use of telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Dedication to patient-centered care and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
• A minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience in consulting and managing patients in a primary care clinic setting and/or telemedicine service.
