Philippolis, Free State | Live In Early Childhood Au Pair | R15 000 per month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• A family is looking for a LIVE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AU PAIR for their sons aged 3 years old and 1.5 years old 
• Area: Philippolis, Free State
• Ages: sons aged 3 years old and 1.5 years old 
• Working hours: Monday – Sunday: 8 hours per day between 08h00 and 17h00. Candidate will either work 3 weeks on with 1 week off of 6 weeks on with 2 weeks off which is in line with the hospitatilty sector BCEA
• Live in: shared kitchen, lounge, own room and meals provided
• Duties: Candidate is required to provide foundational education, care, and structured play for two young children in a remote setting. This role focuses on hands-on early learning and general child care, with support from an existing nanny for basic needs and supervision. Provide age-appropriate play-based learning and developmental activities for the children.
• Assist in daily routines such as preparing snacks, meal times, and engaging in safe play. Support early learning goals for the children with creative activities, storytelling, and interactive play.
• Assist with light planning and development of a small “farm school” curriculum suitable for young children in a remote setting (simplified and supported by parents/nanny). Organize and supervise safe outdoor and indoor play, learning, and enrichment activities. Engage in basic Au Pair duties in the afternoons, including outings, playdates, and preparation of snacks/lunches. The candidate will be supported by an existing nanny, reducing the intensity of sole responsibility.
• Requirements: Early Childhood Development (ECD) certificate would be beneficial, First Aid certified (or willing to obtain), young, kind and organized, must have their own car / license. Additional skills such as an interest in yoga, wellness, life coaching, fitness, etc. is a plus
• Start date: March 2026 start – permanent contract
• Salary: R15 000 per month (gross, before deductions), accommodation * meals provided + SARS rates per km (R4.76)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
