Loading of production and/or sales orders for OE & AM products as per KPI’s
Raising and confirming of order acknowledgements for these products with respective sales personnel
Creating of all job packs and ensuring that the quality of the information in the job packs are of the highest standard and making sure all info is as per customer specification (ie. Correct drawings, IOF, QCP’s BOM, pick slips etc.)
Maintaining of BOM’s – Submitting EDR’s
Maintenance of MRP action messages related to the production orders such as Cancel, Schedule in and Schedule out instructions
Regular reviews and confirmation of correctness of production BOM’s and driving necessary actions to have any anomalies corrected in the system
Maintaining order date alignment to ensure production order start and due dates aligns with customer require due dates
Production scheduling using BOM, taking into consideration inhouse capacity and engage with 3rd party suppliers to confirm if they will be able to meet part lead times.
Ability to read and understand general arrangement drawings
Create a monthly production output forecast and break it down to weekly buckets
Maintenance and updating of slotting room visual management tools (i.e. slotting room tags, production orders status, accountability boards etc.)
Maintenance and actioning of sales change notes on production orders, ensuing any excess stock due to changes are costed to the project and shipped to customer
On manual projects, production BOM verifications needs to be done with product managers and sales engineers and project engineering
Expediting and sourcing where necessary of lower level items through the branch network and with purchasing or other production departments to ensure the availability of lower level stock for OE & AM items
Living the values of Support Care by striving to make our internal customers successful by providing constant communication and updates of project progress to these customers and other stakeholders
Attendance of project handover meetings with the sales and projects team to ensure all crucial data is maintained for projects that projects are maintained accordingly
Loading and ordering of ERP items as and when required
Management and accountability for sub-contract orders linked to the respected products
Maintenance of production BOM during the production process i.e. assisting with negative orders for NCR’s (nonconformance reports), addition of items due to sales changes or BOM corrections etc.
Maintenance of production orders routing (i.e. sub-con, production hours etc.)
Raise NCR’s and be able to investigate and close us out open NCR’s by identifying the root cause and putting into place effective and efficient preventative action into place
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
National Diploma in Logistics / Production Planning or Industrial Engineer
Project Management
At least 3 years’ experience
Reading and understanding drawings will be advantageous
MS Office (Suite)
Run and interpret Excel Pivot Table reports
SAP – shop floor functions (i.e. generation of production orders , projects, outbound advice etc)
