Plant Process Controller (2 Positions) at Thabazimbi Local Municipality

• BASIC SALARY: Post Level 9 (R215 558,40) per annum. Additional benefits attached to the position are as follows: ((i) Medical aid cover is subsidized by 60% of the total contribution for family members; (ii) Pension fund contribution by Municipality is 18% of basic salary; (iii) Housing subsidy is available on repayment of a bond provided that the house is registered in the name of the employee.
• MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 10 plus Water and Sanitation Certificate or equivalent. Valid driver's License.
• EXPERIENCE: 2 years minimum relevant working experience.
• KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Operate equipment and plant to treat wastewater. Operate dosage pumps to add chemicals to influent as per operating procedure. Monitor wastewater levels to prevent pollution. Control volume flow of wastewater by starting and stopping pumps or opening and closing valves. Inspect equipment and tools used in order to identify defects
