Plumber at Thabazimbi Local Municipality

• BASIC SALARY: Post Level 7 (R279 467,52) per annum. Additional benefits attached to the position are as follows: ((i) Medical aid cover is subsidized by 60% of the total contribution for family members; (ii) Pension fund contribution by Municipality is 18% of basic salary; (iii) Housing subsidy is available on repayment of a bond provided that the house is registered in the name of the employee.
• MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: N3 Certificate in Plumbing or equivalent. Trade Test Certificate. Valid Driver's License.
• EXPERIENCE: 2 years minimum relevant working experience.
• KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: proper maintenance, repairs and installation of all types of pipes, and valves on Municipal buildings Perform routine maintenance on pipelines and control valves. Respond to reported faults to reduce outage times. Investigate and resolve repeat problems on network. Record work completed in accordance with job cards. Respond to daily requests for maintenance. Supervise subordinates and ensure that they operate in accordance with health and safety standards.
