What will be required for the position?
The ability to liaise with clients and interact at the highest level. The interaction entails an in-depth knowledge of the client’s accounts and circumstances. In addition, the candidate will have a positive and can-do attitude with the ability to solve problems essential by thinking on their feet.
What will you do?
Proactively manage all portfolio manager, client and intermediary queries and process their requests
Responsible for all BDA (JSE Broker Dealer Administrative System) related functions which inter alia includes:
Collating client payment information and documentation
Collating share transfer information and documentation
Collating Corporate Actions with Portfolio Manager and clients
Monitoring allocation accounts and allocating to client accounts
Responsible for quality checks on all mandates and FICA information
Assist portfolio managers with administrative trading duties both local and offshore
Completion of Credit applications and liaising with credit department
Liaise with tax department regarding interim capital gains reporting
Manage and follow-up with departments and keep the portfolio manager updated
Manage the diary and meetings for Portfolio Manager(s) and proactively arranging client report back meetings
Prepare Information packs for meetings and assist with feedback reports
Ad hoc administrative duties
Coordinate branch administrative functions
Dealing with Computershare with script transfers
Qualification and experience
Bachelor of Commerce Degree or equivalent will be to your advantage
Grade 12 certificate with mathematics
Understanding of the Private Client business and the stock-broking environment
Experience within a financial services industry is essential
JSE Trading exam would be an advantage
Knowledge and skills
Computer literacy – Strong Excel skills
Financial services experience
Knowledge and understanding of BDA system an advantage
Knowledge of a private client process and procedures
Knowledge of the front office functioning an advantage
Accuracy in detail and execution
Communication required to be fluent in Afrikaans and English
