Portfolio Manager (Commercial) at Quorum Holdings

We are looking for a driven and ambitious portfolio manager who will be based at our offices in Westcliff, Johannesburg, to perform roles that include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for a commercial portfolio of 100,000+ m2 of industrial and retail space;
• Responsible for the entire portfolio’s weekly and monthly reporting regarding arrears, occupancies and legal updates;
• Responsible to ensure that the portfolio’s pre-billing statements, letter of demand and lease cancellations are accurate, and dispatched timeously; 
• Work closely with group legal and chief operating officer as well as members of the executive committee; 
• Preparation of monthly management reports and quarterly executive committee board packs; 
• Training, development and coaching of junior staff; 
• Attending to performance appraisals for junior staff on a quarterly basis;
• Signing off on all deposit refunds across the commercial portfolio;
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual collections;
• Endeavouring to ensure that that the properties’ occupancy rates across the level are at acceptable levels and that annual renewals are being secured timeously;
• General day-to-day management of tenants across the portfolios; 
• Oversight on vacant units and attending to repairs & maintenance (“R&M”) and upkeep to facilitate re-letting thereof; 
• Working closely with the leasing and marketing managers; 
• Compiling the R&M budget and monitoring and ensuring that the budget is adhered to; and
• Managing of the portfolio’s facility manager and building staff.
