Job Description:

• Manage the development, release and implementation of innovative applications throughout the business.
• Provide innovation and thought leadership for technology solutions that deliver significant value to company
• Focus on cloud and hybrid cloud application delivery and enabling platforms for rapid development and deployment
• Drive usability with strong focus on user experience and mobile technology
• Capture business/functional requirements, expected service levels and user experience requirements from business units
• Within scope evaluate existing applications within the mining industry and across adjacent industries that can direct existing development or initiate new strategic direction
• Identify and articulate best practice for agile application development
• Keep updated on emerging enabling technology (PaaS and other) in order to accelerate work programs
• Implementation of aligned UX patterns for intuitive application navigation and use
• Can observe ‘self’ in a variety of one-to-one and group encounters, reflecting and learning from the interactions, requesting feedback, and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Understands how to influence or negotiate with others, in order to achieve productive outcomes. Can effectively balance positive interactions with getting the work done

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Geology or Geophysics.
• Information Management/Technology or Computer Science discipline career
• Knowledge and experience in product development & design

Technical Knowledge:

• High level knowledge of enterprise data and has demonstrated success of working with data sources in mining, oil and gas, geoscience or similar disciplines, data integration, data lake and data quality workflows
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of business drivers & levers linked to the extractive industry or other adjacent heavy industry context
• Detailed understanding of application lifecycle management
• Demonstrated track record of stakeholder engagement to enable aligned goals

Technical Skills:
