Principal Technical Consultant at BCX

To understand the Client’s future business requirement, coordinating the translation of those into Capacity/Availability Requirements. Consolidate applicable statistics and present interpreted results to the client with the overall objective of providing a framework and analysis feedback to ensure that the applicable client’s IT systems perform to the required levels of performance.

Key Deliverables

• Planning and implementation of appropriate IT Capacity/Availability matrices, measurements and monitoring capabilities to match business needs.
• Develop standards, policies, benchmarks, and guidelines for managing the infrastructure Capacity/availability
• Statistical analysis and interpretation to produce reports and presentations.
• Act in the capacity of national process owner for Capacity/Availability management process
• Knowledge of current and future technologies
• Guidance and control to ensure that solutions are operable

Core Functionality

• Good working knowledge of MS Office software tools
• Knowledge of statistical techniques
• Excellent understanding of service components and technology utilised
• Knowledge of Availability Management methodologies and frameworks

Minimum Requirement  & Qualifications 

• Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus relevant Degree (NQF level 6)
• ITIL Advanced Management Certificate
• ISO2000 Certification
• 8 to 10 years working experience within the IT industry with specific exposure to technology. Preference to Candidates with Capacity and/or Availability Management experience.
