A relevant three-year professional Tertiary ICT qualification
Five (5) to eight (8) years’ relevant industry experience of which two (2) years must be at a senior level
Extensive background in broadband infrastructure build, OSP, ISP and fibre splicing and testing
Must be physically fit and prepared work in all weather conditions
Computer literacy in MS Office and SAP.
Key Performance Areas
Provide technical knowledge and expertise in the domain of broadband infrastructure build, OSP, ISP and Fiber splicing and testing within the Plan and Build section of the TBS Branch
Manage technical projects, maintaining standards, adhering to specifications and related SOPs
Provide input in the process of specifying requirements for projects, tender specifications, adjudicate minor tenders
Act as the technical team lead when required to drive solution implementation and/or problem resolution
Support to management to ensure effective and efficient operations within the broadband infrastructure build and Fiber domain
Provide operational support to ensure that adequate documentation and reporting is maintained in line with requirements and SOPs
Identify and raise risks impacting effectiveness of operations within the broadband infrastructure build and Fiber domain
Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are followed by the build and Fiber team
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure proper communication
Ensure the management of assets and inventory
Ensure compliance with Telecoms processes and procedures.
