    Requirements

    • Electrical Trade certificate
    • 3 to 5 years post Trade Test experience in an HV environment

    Key Performance Areas

    Planning and Maintenance:

    • Coordinate and perform activities and sequences associated within the electrical functional area

    Principal Technician

    Requirements

    • National Diploma in Engineering
    • ECSA registered as a Professional Engineering Technician
    • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience (post first relevant tertiary qualification)
    • Good understanding of the operation of electricity meters and related systems
    • In-depth knowledge of national metering standards and Electricity Bylaw
    • Computer Literacy and proficient on SAP
    • Valid Code EB driver’s licence
    • Required to work in all weather conditions and outside normal office hours during emergencies and planned overtime and standby duties

    Key Performance Areas

    • Lead a team of technical staff to deliver specialised functional services by ensuring the team is effectively resourced and equipped with the correct tools and up-to-date test equipment

    IT Systems Administrator

    Requirements

    • Relevant three-year IT tertiary qualification
    • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years’ relevant experience within IT
    • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud offerings
    • Experience in Microsoft Azure Landing Zone design and implementation will be beneficial
    • Exposure to Kubernetes or other cloud containerisation technologies is beneficial
    • Requires specialised knowledge on the Opensource operating systems (SLES, REDHat)

    Principal Technician

    Requirements

    • A relevant three-year professional Tertiary ICT qualification
    • Five (5) to eight (8) years’ relevant industry experience of which two (2) years must be at a senior level
    • Extensive background in broadband infrastructure build, OSP, ISP and fibre splicing and testing

    Senior Artisan (Engineering)

    Requirements

    • Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate
    • 3-5 years post Trade Test experience
    • Code C or EC driver’s license.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Co-ordinates activities with specific functional areas i.e. vehicle maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting & fault finding
    • Carrying out repairs by stripping, cleaning, overhauling, replacing and assembling components (e.g. brake and clutch overhauls, gearboxes, engines and any other related mechanical repairs)

    • Report writing on diagnoses and failed components and proving root cause analysis for failures with recommended corrective measures
    • Train and supervise apprentices.
    • Review damage reports, prepare or review repair costs estimates.
    • Communicating with the immediate supervisor and establish material and resources necessary against specific work orders.
    • Attending to deviations in performance or disciplinary/conflict - issues.
    • Adhering/ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures
