    Principal, Transaction Banking Sales

    • Responsible for TB Cash and Trade revenue growth in Southern Africa.
    • Support the client coverage team (RM, CM, CA) and CSG to resolve post-sales service issues for Cash and Trade products
    • Actively drive the Bank's Digitization agenda to improve client experience and reduce Branch Cost allocation.
    • Leverage client engagement feedback and Bank MIS to identify and execute opportunities for increased utilization and OPAC Balance growth.
    • Prepare and present Cash and Trade solutions in collaboration with the Relationship Managers and TB Product teams, including Term Sheets preparation and negotiation.
    • Actively engage clients to identify sales opportunities, build stronger relationships and enhance the client experience through fruitful engagement.
    • Leverage product knowledge and an understanding of clients' needs for solution ideation and to identify cross-sell opportunities.

    Understanding Clients

    • Develop a deep understanding of clients' operating environment including typical transactional flows, trading cycles, working capital needs, decision-making process, banking requirements and the supply chain ecosystem.
    • Build strong client relationships with relevant parties in functions such as treasury, procurement, channel management as well as Import and Export functions.

    Processes

    • Collaborate with the Relationship Managers to design and execute the TB Client Map and TB Sales Account Plan for Priority Clients.
    • Ensure relevant pricing, deal review and/or compliance approvals are in place prior to committing a final solution (including pricing) to a client.
    • Accountable for the TB Sales Pipeline in Southern Africa including logging and updating Cash and Trade deals in RM Workbench as well as coordinating pipeline execution across the Coverage and Product teams.
    • Responsible for providing Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts with support in BCA preparation for new or amended facilities including identification and approval for PPG and/or CA deviations.
    • Provide feedback to Product Managers on the evolution of client needs and the competitive landscape.
    • Responsible for supporting deal implementation and/or execution across Southern Africa for Cash and Trade products.

    People and Talent

    • Collaborate with Relationship Managers, SSD and TB Implementation Team for seamless and efficient product origination and delivery.
    • Deliver Product and Sales training for Relationship Managers, Client Managers and Credit Analysts to improve opportunity spotting, deal origination and execution.

    Risk Management

    • Ensure ongoing adherence to the policies & guidelines and leverage the tools available to proactively manage the risks in selling TB products.
    • Responsible for understanding and delivering your conduct responsibilities including the management of Conduct Risks.
    • Support Relationship Managers with periodic Account Activity Reviews to identify and manage potential CDD/FCC risks related to client account activity.

    Governance

    • Prepare/Support TB Deal Reviews in line with the TB Deal Review Policy.
    • Ensure product pricing is consistent with the Cash, Clearing and Trade Pricing Policy.

    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
