Process Control Assistant Lime (I Hay band) - Shift Work at Rand Water

Job Advert Summary    

• Operating of the conveyors and associated equipment in order to fill the bunkers to optimum operating level.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12/ NQF 4 or N3 Water and Waste Water Treatment Process. Previous water purification plant experience will be added advantage. Process Controller classification as per DWS regulation will be added advantage A valid drivers license with the ability to pass RW K53 driver test 

Primary Duties    

• Selection and filling of correct bunker. Measuring bunkers daily and ensure no overfill. Record lime bunker readings for stock monitoring. Selection of conveyer to fill bunker as requested. Start conveyer and associated dust extraction units. Ensure all conditions are correct for conveyers. Start vibrator and feeder . Inspect the water level at the basement to avoid flooding. Clean spillage and clear blockages. Assist the supervisor with any other duties as required from time to time. Operation of PAC plant. Adhere to Occupational health and safety.

• Basic understanding of water treatment process Basic mathematics. General safety conscious.
