Process Foreman - Witbank at Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd.

PURPOSE

This position exist to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safety
• Carry and fulfil responsibilities of a MHSA Section 2.9.2 legal appointment.
• Lead team to complying with company SHE strategy.
• Ensure team’s understanding of company safety policies, standards and procedures.
• Identify areas of improvement in line with company Digitisation strategy
• Identify SHE training requirements of reports.
• Be part of Incident/ Accident investigation teams
• Operations
• Achieve production targets.
• Manage performance of production shifts
• Form part of maintenance planning and execution. Supervision and sign off maintenance tasks.
• Ensure plant operates within cost budget.
• Maintain high standards of operational excellence.
• Identify process optimization needs.
• People and Systems Management
• Drive teams’ compliance to company strategy.
• Effectively delegate tasks.
• Manage time and attendance, and other systems.
• Identify and develop talent within areas of responsibility.

ADMINISTRATION

• Completes safety, production, maintenance, personnel, and quality control records and reports.
• Liaise with external stakeholders.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Metallurgical,  Chemical Engineering or another related Diploma/ Degree

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years experience in coal processing plants
• A minimum 3 years proven supervisory experience
