    Procurement and Supplier Specialist SA, Nordics

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Manages external supplier, vendor, and associated relationships. Measures supplier planned (i.e., contracted) versus actual service levels and performance. Ensures a positive link between supplier performance assessment, corrective action, and continuous / lasting improvement. Partners with Finance, Supply Chain, Services Ops, and other stakeholders in creating Request for Proposal (RFP), Statement of Work (SOW) and manage all contract phases of supplier engagement. Ensures that contracts and agreements provide high value for money, through contract and commercial negotiations while achieving the required levels of customer service.

    This is a hybrid work requires 2-3 days in our Olivedale office per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for South Africa as well as supporting and covering the Nordics, acting as the single point of contact for all Procurement and Supplier activities in these regions. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manages all supplier relationships, building better partnerships with key suppliers.
    • Manages the commercial negotiations to demonstrate best value from suppliers.
    • Strong commercial governance and cost control over all external spend.
    • Continually reviewing external spend to identify cost improvement initiatives.
    • Manages the contractual discussions to ensure correct governance is in place.
    • Working closely with the Service Ops team to understand Customer contracts and the required flow down terms to Supplier contracts. 
    • Managing contract renewals, change control and variation agreements. 
    • Assesses Supplier capacity and capability to address issues limiting performance.
    • Works closely with internal Service Ops to understand business requirements, implement better supplier processes and contribute to ongoing process improvement with Suppliers to work smarter.
    • Performs weekly, monthly, and quarterly and annual supplier performance reviews.
    • Reviews supplier data for customer SLAs and KPI rates for measuring service quality.
    • Works with stakeholders to understand issues, develop gap-closing action plans.
    • Performs root cause analysis on issues and failure points to implement service improvement plans and ensure execution and monitoring.
    • Support and lead projects to drive better efficiencies between DN and its Suppliers.
    • Assists with the co-ordination of training activities, quality initiatives and calibrations.
    • Implements the appropriate governance to ensure Customer and DN requirements are met by suppliers and auditable. 
    • Management Information, reporting, invoice and payment monitoring and support to resolve any risks and issues and support with escalations.
    • Carries out procurement related administrational tasks as required. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree, master’s degree a plus, and work experience required.
    • Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in procurement & supplier management combination with a services background or buying outsourced services a must.
    • Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
    • Contract and commercial negotiation and performance management of suppliers
