    Procurement Manager

    Job Purpose

    • The Procurement Manager would be responsible for managing internal and external stakeholder relationships and managing the Procurement team.

    Education and Qualification Requirements

    Minimum education (essential)

    • National Senior Certificate

    Preferred education (not essential)

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

    Minimum applicable experience (years)

    • 5-8 years

    Required nature of experience

    • Procurement in a manufacturing environment
    • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Team Management
    • Inventory Management
    • Working in fast moving manufacturing environment

    Skills and Knowledge (essential)

    • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
    • MS Excel (Intermediate)
    • Integrated procurement software
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise.

    Other

    • Valid driver’s license and road worthy vehicle.
    • Working hours: 07:00-16:15, Monday to Friday.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Manage supplier relations and maintain strong partnerships.
    • Monitor and optimize delivery timelines from warehouses to manufacturing plants or job sites.
    • Recruit, train, and supervise purchasing staff members.
    • Formulate cost-effective strategies for material procurement.
    • Establish and implement risk management protocols to minimize potential losses.
    • Oversee a dedicated purchasing team and assign responsibilities accordingly.
    • Efficiently manage inventory levels to ensure smooth operations.
    • Collaborate closely with the finance department to align procurement goals with financial objectives.
