Main Outputs and Responsibilities for This Position

• Investigating available and existing suppliers that comply with the company’s procurement procedures and technical requirements, with specific emphasis to BEE where applicable.
• Negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best value for money.
• Supporting local users in the requisition process, handling and resolution of business and suppliers’ enquiries.
• Obtaining quotations where contracts are not in place.Assisting with quality checks on goods and suppliers, as well as quality assurance.
• Conducting value analysis studies by reporting on market trends and industry standards, recommending specifications and assessing quality and reliability of products, services, and suppliers.
• Managing bid and tender processes.Develop procurement agents and manage terms and conditions.
• Managing the total cost of ownership process.
• Support marketing by identifying potential sources of supply and the sourcing of required products and or solutions.

Requirements
Formal Education

• Completed Matric / Grade 12.
• Diploma / Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain or similar.

Experience

• Procurement experience on either one or few of these categories Gas, Cleaning, Chemicals, Pest Control, Uniforms and the supply of Crockery and Cutlery.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in a similar role. 
• Experience in the procurement of direct goods and services in the FMCG environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
