Procurement Specialist (Luxury Interior Design) at Pillangó Placements

• Join a high-end interior design and turnkey project management business delivering luxury residential, hospitality and commercial projects across South Africa and internationally.
• Based in Pretoria East, you will take ownership of supplier relationships, source distinctive local and international products, and help shape a world-class product offering across multiple luxury projects.

Key Responsibilities
Source furniture, lighting, finishes, sanitaryware, décor and bespoke products

• Identify and develop local and international suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, terms and commercial agreements
• Obtain quotations and compare supplier options
• Research new products, materials and industry trends
• Support designers with product and finish selections
• Coordinate supplier presentations and product launches
• Maintain supplier databases, specifications and procurement information
• Manage and grow the sample library
• Monitor supplier quality and performance
• Identify cost savings without compromising design or quality
• Support procurement planning across multiple projects

Requirements

• 3–7 years’ sourcing, procurement or purchasing experience
• Experience in interior design, architecture, construction, furniture, hospitality or luxury residential projects
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Education

• A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, interior design, business or a related field is advantageous.

Soft Skills

• Professional, proactive and commercially minded, with strong communication skills, integrity and a genuine passion for design. Curiosity, initiative and confident problem-solving are essential.

Salary

• The proposed salary for the role is R20k - R30k per month - the final offer will depend on qualifications, experience and skills.
