Role Overview

• We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Product Engineer to join our Product Incubation team. This role is designed for engineers who want to do more than write code—they want to shape product direction, solve meaningful problems, and take ownership from concept to launch. The successful candidate will combine strong engineering expertise, product thinking, and commercial awareness to build innovative products from first principles. Working in an environment of high trust and ambiguity, you will be responsible for transforming ideas into scalable, customer-centric solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Own product challenges end-to-end, from discovery and ideation through to deployment and iteration.
• Design, build, and launch new products from concept to market.
• Contribute to product vision, strategy, and roadmap decisions.
• Build full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, and infrastructure as required.
• Make technology decisions based on customer needs, business objectives, and technical best practices.
• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable production-grade systems.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define problems, validate assumptions, and deliver impactful outcomes.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to improve engineering efficiency and innovation.
• Continuously iterate products based on customer feedback, data insights, and business priorities.
• Contribute to a culture of ownership, experimentation, high standards, and continuous learning.

Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, Product Engineer, Full-Stack Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience designing and building scalable, production-grade applications and services.
• Proficiency across multiple technology stacks, programming languages, and frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Demonstrated ability to work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Strong product mindset with experience taking products from concept through launch and iteration.
• Ability to define solutions, not just execute requirements.
• Strong understanding of user needs, workflows, and customer experience principles.
• Experience making engineering decisions informed by business and commercial objectives.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with limited direction.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritisation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex, or similar technologies.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions with a strong bias toward execution and outcomes.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience working in startup, incubation, innovation, or venture-building environments.
• Exposure to product metrics, growth initiatives, revenue optimisation, or commercial product development.
• Experience launching 0-to-1 products and validating new product concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience working closely with product, design, customer success, or support teams.
• Knowledge of emerging AI technologies, agentic systems, and AI-first development practices.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading small product development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience building and launching successful software products will be considered.
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, software engineering, or AI technologies will be advantageous.
