    Product Manager - Automation

    Responsibilities:

    Safety, Sustainability and Leadership:

    • Ensure a high focus on safety, health, environment, and quality. Foster a high-performing, value-based organization where safety and minimal environmental impact are integral. Integrate sustainability into business practices and be a role model and visible ambassador for company values, ensuring everyone adheres to Epiroc's values.

    Growth:

    • Develop processes for marketing SRD Technologies through value engineering. Establish a client base and manage the Territory Management Strategy for SRD. Increase market and customer share, improve customer satisfaction annually, and expand the customer base. Support the drive to establish SRD client profiles in SalesForce for better interaction and collaboration.

    Innovation:

    • Successfully introduce and implement new surface technologies (automation, digitalization, electrification). Ensure continued market leadership in new technology areas and integrate sustainability into offerings. Bundle new technology solutions with capital equipment effectively.

    Operational Excellence:

    • Oversee RCS (Rig Control System) Automation products and projects within Southern Africa. Business Line Managers, collaborate with Automation Product Managers for product knowledge and project needs, and ensure successful project management and implementation of autonomous projects. Act as liaison between customers and the product company, ensure correct configuration of RCS technology options, and maintain regular field and customer visits. Provide product support and technical training, monitor competitor activities, and maintain competitor information. Support market growth for divisions and educate the sales force on Technologies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering – minimum requirement
    • 5 - 8 years exposure to the system engineering and technology development environment for the mining industry – minimum requirement
    • Other qualifications (Diploma, Degree, Post-Graduate Degree etc.) – Added advantage

    Skills:

    • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical aspects of surface drills and applications.
    • Expertise in Surface drill and/or Automation technologies for mining equipment.
    • Proficiency in computer software systems, wireless communications, databases, and GPS.
    • Proven sales and systems engineering track record in Surface drill and/or Automation technologies.
    • Successful project management experience for automation and technology projects.

    Attributes:

    • Team management skills.
    • Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
    • Computer literate.
    • Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
