    Product Marketing Manager

    The Role:

    We’re on the lookout for a Product Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies to increase awareness and adoption of the product. Our ideal candidate is a passionate experienced B2B product marketer with proven success in working with emerging products and driving GTM strategies.

    We make online commerce and digital payment acceptance easier and more accessible across all Africa. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, we work with small and large sellers to provide a complete toolkit to accept, manage and disburse payments through web and mobile. Our merchant partners include your favorite food delivery services, whether you are ordering in or using a meal kit, travel services that can help you book your next getaway adventure, and even your neighbor’s side-hustle e-commerce store. For these partners and their customers, we aim to provide brilliant experiences that make it as easy as possible to facilitate online payments.

    What you'll do:

    • Product messaging and positioning – Develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with customers and differentiates our organization in the market.
    • Content Development – Conceptualize and create educational product and solution content for a variety of platforms.
    • Market, customer, and competitive analysis - Be the expert on the customer, the industry trends, and the players in the market.
    • Sales enablement – Communicate value proposition and provide high value sales tools, training, and collateral.
    • Demand generation – Develop and implement strategies to drive product awareness and demand including paid, earned and owned channels.
    • Evangelism – Serve as a company spokesperson and go-to thought leader for the product. Build developer and merchant communities that feel empowered to advocate for our products.

    Who you are:

    • BA / BS with at least 5 years prior experience in a similar position.
    • Proven experience creating marketing plans encompassing strategy, customer research, competitive analysis, product requirements, messaging, pricing, etc.
    • Experience initiating and driving a range of GTM programs including, webinars, tradeshows, social media, content marketing etc.
    • Excellent English presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with an eye for quality and attention to detail. Ability to tell a story and persuade customers to take action. 
    • Ability to effectively teach and inspire colleagues on best practices and winning strategies.
    • Strength in collaborating with cross-functional teams, across geographies, including executive management, product management, operations, sales and marketing.
    • Strong analytical orientation. Must love getting into the data and finding insights.
    • Ability to roll up sleeves and immerse in the details.
    • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to deal with ambiguity. Must be a self-starter.
    • Thrives in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.
